Catching up...

Well, it's been several days since my last post and I do apologize. I must say that the past couple of weeks have just been full on! I've not had a moment of peace - it's just been really busy! ...and it's been a good thing too, as I've not had much time to dwell on The Tourist. I'm finding I'm missing him much more than I anticipated. sigh...

Anyway, it was a very sunny, very hot weekend here in Sydney and this week is much the same. I did end up going out on Friday night...with John, the Risk Executive from work. Everyone else who had originally planned to come out bailed on me, and so John suggested a drink or two at Ivy. Two bottles later, we decided we should go to dinner and so we headed back to the office so that I could drop off my work bag (didn't want to lug it around the city). Needless to say, Monty and John, in the lift, snogging like our lives depended on it! Which is fine, except that there's video surveillance in the lifts...so now work has evidence of shenanigans betwix the two of us! Eeek!

Anyway, we had dinner and I dragged him to Palms, but we didn't end up dancing...too busy snogging in the corner. God that guy kisses well!!! We left around midnight but to our respective homes. He has a rule about “screwing the crew” and he’s understandably cautious about getting physical with me. Never fear, I’m wearing him down! He he he! But it was a lovely night out with him.

Saturday I slept, and then met up for a drink with a date in the afternoon. (yes, although I’m still missing The Tourist, I’m determined to move on) Saturday evening, a couple of friends were having a BBQ and invited me over, which was lovely, even if I was the only single there! And it was nice to actually get to bed before midnight!!!

(Just as a side point…what is it with all these couples who seem to insist on flaunting their “married” status whenever a single person is around??? I mean, I understand they’re a couple and that’s fine, I’m happy for them, so really, there’s no need to keep snogging, cuddling and canoodling to convince me they are together! Get a room, or better still, go home!)

Sunday, Jacqui had arranged for a bunch of us to go “barefoot bowling” at the Waverton Bowls club. There was a couple of her friends, some mutual friends from work (including John) and myself. The thing I love about barefoot bowling is the fact that you’re playing sport whilst drinking at the same time – how good is that! And due to the fact that it was brilliantly sunny and very warm, the drinking kind of got more attention than the bowling. We did that for a couple of hours before heading down to the Commodore Hotel for food and more beer! Muzbot turned up too which was lovely…our last chance to have a beer or two at our local as neighbours.

So, it was a fun weekend. But it was FULL. Yesterday, after my workout with Greg, I had an appointment with my very hunky masseur. God he’s hot!!! And extremely flirtatious! Dangerous waters! I mentioned that my next massage will be my birthday massage and he jokingly said that maybe he’ll do it naked for me! Yes please!!! Well, we’ll see in a couple of weeks if he comes through with his promise!

So last night after the massage was my first real night at home for more than a week! It’s crazy! And this week is just as full. Thankfully, I’ve decided not to do anything at all over the Easter weekend and so I’ll just be able to play it by ear and hopefully, do lots of relaxing.

Aches and pains...

I've written previously about my Hunky Masseur who unfortunately moved to London in July this year. I actually met up with him while I was over there and we spent the day at St Paul's Cathedral and wandering the streets of The City Of London. But since his departure, I've not been able to find me a decent masseur.

I logged onto Gaydar over the weekend and noticed this quite hot guy had left a track and so I had a look at his profile and it turns out, he's a masseur. Interesting, but I gave it no further thought. Until Monday, that is. About lunchtime, I realized that my right shoulder was incredibly sore. And as the afternoon progressed, it got stiffer and stiffer (my shoulder, that is, you with the dirty minds).

I have not experienced this kind of muscular pain before, this overwhelming agony, where I did not even want to use my arm. And so, when I got home, I remembered this guy's profile and sent him an urgent message requesting an urgent massage! Thankfully, he could fit me in on Wednesday evening and so last night, finished work right on 5pm, raced home for a quick shower, and then over to his apartment.

I've gotta say, he's probably even hunkier than my original "Hunky Masseur". And the massage...well, it was BRUTAL! But I knew that it wasn't going to be one of those stress-relief-nice-and-easy-feel-good kinda ones, given the pain I was in. So I was mentally prepared, but HOLY CRAP! Pain city!!! But beneath the blinding waves of pain, I could feel my shoulder relaxing, the muscles loosening...and his magnificent 6pack (he rested my hand/arm against his stomach briefly when he was stretching my shoulder). And so I left there feeling waaaay better!

Today, my shoulders are a little sore, but it's the good sore...not the tight, uncomfortable feeling, but just residual soreness from the pummelling I got last night. I think I have found me a new Hunky Masseur! Wahooooo!

PS Before you ask, NO, I did not get a "happy ending"! :-)

A Sundry Saturday post...

It's Saturday already and I can't believe how quickly the past week has flown by! Now that the financial year is over, traditionally things slow down and this was my fondest wish for this week. Not to be! It has been another very busy week at work! So, I thought I'd better treat myself and make an appointment with my hunky masseur for today.

And so, today I rocked up at 10.30am and felt all my stress dissolve beneath the magic that is my masseur's hands! It was another lovely session, but a little sad - he is in the process of moving over to London; leaving in two week's time. So, this was our last session together. Naturally, I have booked him for October when I will be back in London, but that's still 3 months away, and not exactly an ideal solution! Thankfully, he gave me a couple of numbers of friends of his that are masseurs as well, so I'll be taken care of. Which reminds me, if any of you London bloggers would like a FABULOUS massage from a hot Aussie guy, email me and I'll send you his details. He has to start working as soon as he gets there and so I'm sure he'd love an intant client list!

I drifted home, through the heavy traffic that is in Potts Point at the moment, thanks to the thousands of visitors turning up to check out the hot US Navy guys (oh, and their aircraft carrier) here for the weekend. A quick clean up around the apartment and a knock on my door. It was Evan and McDreamy, beaming smiles and lots of laughs! McDreamy had cut out a suspicious looking lesion on Evan's chest last week and it prompted me to think about my own skin. My dad is a red head with very fair skin and he goes every 6 months or so to the doctor to get examined and usually ends up with one or two small cancers being cut out or frozen off. I've unfortunately inherited the fair skin and have not had a check up for ages. So, McDreamy kindly made a housecall on me and checked me out. Thankfully, nothing to be concerned about...there's a couple of freckles that he suggested I keep an eye on, for any changes in colour or shape, but otherwise, nothing to worry about!
Sensational! Thanks McDreamy, by the way.

Thus relieved, we all toddled off down to Blues Point Rd for a lovely pasta lunch in the sun at one of the cafes there. I love sitting in the sun when it's cold...it just feels fantastic! We also discussed our little weekend away next weekend...I'm taking them down to the beach house on the South Coast. Granted, it's not exactly beach weather, but it's just so lovely and relaxing down there, plenty of food and wine, great conversation with good friends, lazy sleep ins, long walks on the beach. It promises to be another awesome weekend!

Tonight, I've received an invitation to Chez Muzbot for dinner - and he's cooking! After seeing the yummy recipe he posted earlier this week for his Moroccan Lamb, I'm chomping at the bit to experience his culinary skills! Should be another highly enjoyable night!

Rain...feel it on my fingertips...

It's been a wild and woolly weekend here in the Emerald City! Rain aplenty, in fact, they are saying we've not had a storm like this in 30 yrs! It's cold, wet and windy...thankfully, today the wind has died down and it's only showering intermittently. The sun is also desperately trying to make an appearance; there are glimpses of blue betwix the dark and stormy clouds...Perfect weather for snuggling! PERFECT!!! And, for all of those non-Sydneysiders, it's also Queens Birthday long weekend! Yay! Yes, that's right, the English don't get a day off for the Queens Birthday, but us here in the colonies do! he he he!

Anyway, I didn't really have anything planned for this weekend socially. It was going to be a play-it-by-ear kinda weekend, combined with a "chill out, sleep in, do little" plan. So far, it's turned out quite well in achieving all of the above! I've definitely chilled, totally slept in and I have done very little! 100% of plan. And it's still been quite social really. Yesterday, I had my monthly massage with my hunky masseur - it's very sad for me because he's decided to move to London in a couple of months! Arghhhh! I'll need to find a new one! (It's good for all you Londoners because he gives a sensational massage...so if you want his details, let me know!) After that, I caught up with PC for a cup of tea (he's English so what would you expect) and a chat which was lovely. Yesterday was such a day for being inside drinking hot beverages and chatting. The weather virtually demanded that kind of activity. And then last night, I had a date. Yes, that's right, Monty's back dating! I know I said a couple of weeks ago that I was going to, but I hadn't actually done much about it. I did, after GIQ and I initially "broke up", go out on a dinner date with a doctor that I had chatted to via GD. But that had been it. And so yesterday, I messaged the Doctor to see if he was free; he was, and so he came over last night and we had take-away (or rather, home delivery) Indian and watched a DVD (and snuggled). It was rather pleasant I must say! Last night was not a night to be out and about, and so staying in, heating on, hot food in one's tummy, and snuggling with a hot guy, was most warming to my soul! I wasn't up to meeting a new guy, so this was an easy transition back into the dating scene. I don't think the Doctor is Mr Right, but he's certainly got friend potential...and he's a sensational snuggler! he he he! Handy to have over the coming winter months! (just as an aside, Doctors seem to be The Thing at the moment...my friend Evan has also just started seeing a Doctor)

So, things are looking up again. I'm feeling pretty cool, calm and collected after my brain (or rather heart) explosion last week. And it was heartening to have such positive feedback from my last blog post - thank you so much to those of you who left a comment! Very touched by your lovely expressions (and advice)!

My friend Matt (from London) also comes in less than 2 weeks time now and it's going to be a busy but fun weekend with him and my friends. So no complaints from this quarter! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!
