Is it so wrong that one of the first things I noticed on that map was "Dannii Minogue"? Fairly accurate though wouldn't you say? Considering the entire movie is nothing more than a bit fat pay check from Tourism Australia to Luhrman every ticket sold should come with this map!
I thought that the Ms Minogue reference was hilarious! That and Sharks with Frikin Laser beams (huge fan of Dr Evil's!)
It reminds you of everything that is good about this country, deranged gunmen, maneating koalas, backpacker murders, babykiller dingos, not to mentions lots and lots of NOTHING! Ha ha ha.
I love how Dannii Minogue is lumped in with the deranged gunmen, maneating koalas, backpacker murders, babykiller dingoes and so on......Is she comparable with all that?
This map is ridiculous! The convicts are from Sydney and Danni Minogue is from Melbourne. I find it offensive you would suggest Sydney was founded by descendants of La Minogue. :)
Whilst we are talking about global perception of Oz...I must say that I'm not a big fan of the new Tourism Australia TV ads by Baz. I'm hoping the movie is better. Iincidentally, is it just me or has Nicole Kidman gone a bit overboard with plastic surgery of late?
I'm told by someone who knows about these things, they've had to do a fair bit of work in post-production to take into account the pre-and-post baby use of botox by someone who shall remain nameless....
couldn't someone just nudge Dannii a little further in the direction of the sharks. Or the gunmen. I don't mind which. It would get her dull, vacant mawk off TV in the UK. Mind you, I don't live there any more but I still have family and friends who need saving...
I think "NOTHING" should be just a little further south, around about where Adelaide is. Oops, did I say that out loud?
