Birthday boy...

7am today, I'm lying in bed, enjoying that delicious feeling when you're halfway between asleep and awake when my mobile rings! It's Mark, my brother in London, wishing me a happy birthday! And then I remember, it's my birthday! Yep, that's right folks, Monty is one year older...I'm now 37! Eek! Only 3 years off that age!

But I've gotta say, I'm having a much better birthday this year than I did last year! I was a miserable git last birthday but it's amazing the difference a year makes! I've got a morning tea that work is putting on in about 15 mins; tonight, I'm meeting up with a bunch of friends at The Dolphin Hotel in Crown St for a couple of quiet bevvies and then I'm staying over at McBrad's tonight for a birthday shag! LOL Actually, it's a bit exciting because he's going to be meeting my friends tonight at the pub! It's always a bit nerve wracking but also exciting! Last night, at my workout, my nazi trainer Greg gave me a bottle of wine (a McLaren Vale Shiraz which is just perfect) which was really lovely of him...and totally unexpected!

And 5am tomorrow, I'm getting up (that's not going to be fun) and off to the airport to catch the Singapore Airlines A380 - off to Thailand (Phuket) for a week long celebration for Mark's 40th! I can't wait!!! It's strange thinking that I won't be seeing McBrad for 9 whole days/nights - we've spent soooo much time together over the past couple of weeks (think I've slept maybe 3 nights at home since meeting him) and so it will be weird not seeing him. But as my good friend EIB mentioned in an email to me the other night, it will be good to get away and obtain some perspective on things. And to eat lots of food, drink lots of alcohol, sit in the sun, bathe in the tepid sea, loll about in hammocks underneath swaying palms and all that stuff! It's 28 - 30 degrees Celcius there - so it will be a return to summer which will be lovely.

So it's all good! Don't know how much blogging I'll be able to do in Thailand, but will endeavour to do my best! I'm back on the 20th so worst case, there'll be lots of catch-up blogging to do! :-)

Monty on Tour 6...

Sorry it's been so long between posts...Paris was so busy that I didn't have a chance to get to an internet cafe to update. And now, it's Wednesday and I've only got one more day left here in London before I leave the fair shores of Ol' Blighty and wing my way homeward!

Paris was splendid! Unfortunately, apart from the day I arrived (Wed) and the day I left (Sun), it was overcast and on Saturday, rainy. But that didn't stop me anyway. On Wednesday night, I was in a mood...in fact, I think I sent nearly everyone on my phone a text message which said "It's Halloween and here in Paris, Monty is on the prowl"...! And I was! Had dinner and then hit the bars of Le Marais - I was determined to pick me up a Frenchman! One disappointment...Frenchman don't seem as tall as Englishmen! There's not that many taller than I, and I'm not exactly a giant! And I LOVE a tall man! I do have to say, my Anglophilia is still as strong as ever, despite the good looking French guys I saw! There are a few friends of mine who are total Francophiles, but there's no doubting it now, Englishmen are my thing! Anywho...

Got to all the usual tourist spots of course, but also did Rodin's Museum which was fantastic! And reasonably quiet too which was a stark contrast to every other place we went! I must say that Versailles was a little bit disappointing...most of the outside was covered in scaffolding so it lost its grandeur from that perspective. And it was jam packed with tourists! I've not been more squashed in, which made me just a touch claustrophobic! But the Hall of Mirrors was everything I expected! Just amazing! When you look at the complex in its entirity, it blows me away that this was a palace for one man and his family!!!!! The extravagance of it is mind blowing!

But of course, the highlight of the trip was spending more quality time with my lovely (and now 40 yr old) friend EIB. We would go out for dinner and sit in the cafe, eating, drinking and watching the eye candy walk by (or in some cases, strut by)...and of course, chatting! I can't quite believe that we've only known each other for just over a year now - it seems like we've gone through a lot together...well, we've certainly talked enough for a lifetime of friendship! My flight back to London was at 2pm Sunday and so I left him at the Metro station at around noon. Sitting on the train to the airport, a feeling of sadness just washed over me! I don't know when I will see him again. I would love to come back to Europe next year, but I really should be a bit more fiscally responsible and save my $$$. I've had two long overseas holidays in consecutive years and so should be a bit more low key next year...but when close friends like EIB are over here, and I'm in Australia, the longing to travel is very intense! I must say, we have been much more relaxed with each other this time which has been lovely,..no doubt due to the fact that last year, we had only just met and I was obviously infactuated with him. And now that he's gone and got himself a boyfriend, he does seem more at ease as well. I look forward to many more long conversations with him on a Sunday night...he's very good at bringing a dose of reality to me, providing a more objective perspective of whatever is happening in my life which is good! Despite his recent fall from grace (which I blogged about a couple of months ago), he does still provide me with a high moral ground and a good laugh too! Love him to bits! Thanks EIB...these two mini holidays we've had have been the highlight of this holiday!!!

But another highlight of Paris was catching up with Oscar, the Frenchman that I met in Berlin last year! He's about to celebrate his first anniversary with his boyfriend which is very exciting - they got together shortly after he returned from his Berlin holiday! So it was lovely to see him again, see what's happened over the past 12 months in our respective lives.

But now I've got to finish off all my postcards and post them...of course, I'll turn up in Australia before they do but still, I am determined to send them! Other than that, there's not much else I've got to do here in London. I've said my goodbyes to all my friends (new and old), and have seen just about everything in London that I've ever wanted to see. I am now feeling very comfortable about getting around London on the tubes and buses, and am now getting a bit of a sense of direction now which is great! I love London and could so easily live here...the only thing that would worry me is missing the sun! And that's one thing I am hanging out for when I get back...to feel the warm warm warm sun on my skin! Lying on the beach! Going down to the park with my paper and reading in the sun! Wearing shorts and t-shirts!

Anyway, this post has gone waaaayyy too long so I shall sign off and get busy with the postcards! :-)

Happy Birthday EIB...

It's my gorgeous friend Englishman in Budapest's birthday today...it's a big one...his 40th! He's not wanting a big deal made of it, but it's just too much of a momentous occasion to miss. I'm so glad that I'm in the same hemisphere as him so that I can actually celebrate with him!

Happy Birthday C...you're a top friend and I'm grateful for the circumstances that led to us meeting! It's often the friends that you find in unexpected places that turn out to be the best! And you certainly are that! Big hug for my favourite Englishman!

Monty on Tour 4...

Well, tomorrow morning at some extremely ungodly hour, I'm getting up so that I can catch a plane to Cairo. I'm very excited, not only because I'm going to Egypt, but also because I'm seeing my lovely friend Englishman In Budapest! Cannot wait to see him and catch up on all his news...and what news he has! Apparently, he's gone and got himself a boyfriend!!! So I've got lots of interrogation to do!

Anyway, I think that I'll probably be offline for a few days until I return...next Wednesday evening. Wish me luck! :-)

Up up and away...part II...

I'm starting to get very excited now! I have less than 3 weeks of work left before I'm on 6 weeks' holiday and just over 4 weeks before I actually fly out of Sydney. I posted a blog a couple of weeks ago about booking my London flights with Virgin Atlantic and over the course of the last couple of days, have booked more flights for the other legs of my journey.

So far...

4 Oct Depart Sydney
5 Oct Arrive London
13 Oct Fly to Cairo
17 Oct Return to London
31 Oct Fly to Paris
4 Nov Return to London
8 Nov Depart London
10 Nov Arrive Sydney

There may be one more side trip to take between the 17th and 31st Oct but I've yet to work that out.

There's so much I am looking forward to - seeing my brother Mark and his B/F Simon again (I'm staying with them whilst in London so I expect to be seeing quite a lot of them), seeing one of my oldest friends (Marie) again, seeing Matt again, meeting Darth Gateau, Guy In London, CuteCTGuy and possibly one or two other London bloggers, seeing more of London, Paris and Cairo and surrounds, and the highlight of course will be spending time in Cairo and Paris with my lovely friend EIB. It will be almost exactly 12 months since we last saw each other and I'm really hanging out to see him again and have some major chats with him! And giving (and receiving) the last 12 months' worth of hugs that we owe each other. Both he and I (esp me) have been through some fairly significant stuff over the past year and our regular Sunday chats have been a great source of advice and reassurance (and lots of laughs) which has really cemented our friendship! Can't wait!!!

The High Moral Ground...

My great friend, Englishman in Budapest, and I generally chat every Sunday night for at least an hour or two. (we haven't for the past few weeks as he's been on holidays in the UK) We've done so pretty much since I returned from overseas in November last year. And in these conversations, I tend to download to him my weekly happenings...and over the past 10 months or so, there's been plenty happening in my life - if you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know what I mean.

Anyway, EIB has been a good friend, confidant and source of advice. But he's always had the high moral ground, not being the sort that just picks up guys in bars, via Gaydar etc for casual sex. In fact, it's been some time since he's, ahem, been with a guy. Now, if you saw his blog a couple of months ago when he posted a PST pic, you'll see that he's a good looking guy! And, from personal experience, I can say that he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet! He's intelligent, witty, a good conversationalist and a good cook; he's got himself a house in the UK, stable employment, travels often. So he's a bit of a catch! When I first met him, I confess to having a seriously huge crush on him...that has since developed into a very good friendship which I am eternally greatful for. Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that having been celibate for a while, he could look down from his pedastal at Monty and his slutty summer of fun and tut tut (in the kindest, most non-judgemental way) at the stuff ups, foolish moves and unfortunate encounters that I made and I had NOTHING on him! He had angelic purity and was unreproachable which was frustrating for me!

Well, I was chatting to him the other night and he mentioned that he was meeting with this 23 yr old guy the following day. (EIB is 39 btw) I said words to the effect of, 'isn't he a bit young for you?' and his response was 'Get your mind out of the gutter, I'm just going to be a shoulder to cry on, he's just broken up with his B/F'. I said 'look, I know how guys operate, he wants more of Mr EIB than just a shoulder, you're a rebound shag', his response 'no he doesn't, he just needs some advice and a hug'...I said 'you've been warned'. Now, knowing EIB as I do, I have seen his willingness to help others, particularly his students, past and present, but also guys like myself who need a bit of advice and a bit of a shoulder to cry/lean on. So, it wasn't a surprising thing to me that he was meeting up with this guy with completely altruistic intentions.

Imagine my surprise on Tuesday night, when I was out at dinner with Evan and McDreamy, to get the following text messages:

EIB Drought over, hurrah!
M Congratulations! Who with???
EIB 23 yr old. You were right by the way! Am wrecked but still at gym. Home for a snooze tho. Round 2 this evening.

Now I was very excited to hear that he'd finally decided to get himself a shag! Very excited indeed...I almost jumped up and did a little victory jig, but thankfully, restrained myself! But then the realisation hit me...he'd come down off his pedestal and shagged a guy 16 yrs his junior! A guy who may have been just a little bit vulnerable, after his break up. A guy who was in the UK on holidays! This was not someone who had the potential to be a long termer, this was a short term encounter! And then the good stuff started to flow in me, the fact that FINALLY, after 10 months being on the receiving end, I was going to be able to stand on the high moral ground and give it to him! (in the kindest, most non-judgemental way) I was almost salivating at the thought, particularly in light of my previous warning!

Got home around 10pm that night and rang him straight away! I have to tell you, it was the best feeling. I enjoyed every moment of it...and EIB knew it. I couldn't stop laughing all through our conversation, I was chuffed as chips! I love him dearly as a friend and there was nothing malicious about it, just a nice little bit of revenge for Monty!

I've just read his blog - he's posted about 6 articles about this young twink he picked up (tee hee, sorry EIB, I just couldn't resist one last jibe) and it does sound like it's been a great breakthrough for him, which I am really happy about! I'm delighted that he now feels ready to love and be loved again, after having built up an almost impenetrable barrier (to guys wanting a relationship) over the past few years. I doubt this is going to change him materially as far as his attitude toward the casual encounter type of thing - he's just not that kind of guy - but I'm glad that he feels open and ready for the possibility of a relationship now!

So, my dear friend EIB, congratulations! I'm thoroughly chuffed for you! Look forward to hearing how things go for you!

Monty's Miscellaneous Musings...

I'm curiously lethargic today! I woke up and eventually dragged myself out of my wonderfully snug bed at noon and kinda wandered around the apartment trying to motivate myself. And so, after showering, I did the only thing that can get me going...drove to KFC and bought myself some deep fried chicken and their wonderful chips (and a can of Pepsi Max...gotta watch those calories! lol). There's nothing quite like a Sunday KFC lunch whilst reading the Sunday papers! Perrrrrfect!

But as I pondered my unmotivated state, I realised that it was because I didn't actually have anything planned today. There was no brunch to be had with friends, no BSB with the boys in the arvo (that happened yesterday), no social engagements at all. Normally this would be a good thing for me as I'm one who does enjoy time to myself. Sunday is and always has been Monty time but for some strange reason, today I really don't feel like going solo. Even the prospect of some grocery shopping doesn't fill me with anticipation...(yes, strange I know, but I actually enjoy the weekly meander through the aisles of Woolworths Northbridge, picking whatever I want off the shelves, planning all sorts of wicked indulgences for the coming week) and yet I do know that once I'm there, I will actually perk up. It's just physically making myself put some shoes on and get in the car and drive there that seems so difficult at the moment. I'm actually feeling more like grabbing my book and waltzing down to my local park and reading it in the sun. Highly unproductive but delightful to sit in the sun on the grass and immerse myself in the comings and goings of Henry VIII's many spouses! And snack...because you can never just go to the park with a book, you always need to take a little picnic - a bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers, maybe some olives or marinated artichokes. I'm sure the other people in the park must think I'm rather strange, having this delish little picnic by myself, but I have such fun when I do. Have my music courtesy of my antiquated Sony Discman (does anyone remember what they are?) so really, all senses are indulged...the touch of grass beneath my feet, warm sun on my skin; taste of liquid summer sliding down my throat in the form of a lovely wooded chardy and the rich, sharp tang of Mersey Valley cheddar on water crackers; the smell of fresh air and the fragrance of cut grass; the sound of a yet to be determined CD transporting me elsewhere; the visual impact of the scene in front of me, the verdant green of grass and trees, the cobalt blue sky, just the occasionally fluffy white cloud; the stimulus to my mind from the book. FABULOUS!

BUT I'd better go and do it rather than just talk about it here! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! x

PS Just a quick note re: PST. I was highly thrilled to see not one but TWO bloggers do a first-time picture post of their PST's - our shy retiring and newly out GIL managed to expose his delightfully furry chest (and his pink shirt) to the world and my friend EIB posed in a bit more formal attire with a lovely pink shirt/tie combo. And his dazzling smile! Seriously, a call must be made Europe-wide to find EIB a boyfriend - he's a good looking fellow, smart, highly witty and amusing, well presented, a gentle heart beneath his frosty exterior, a good cook - to sum up...he's a CATCH!!! I can provide character references for him! :-)

Changing tactics...

As intimated in previous posts, I've decided that I need to change tactics in respect of dating guys. Instead of the Scattergun approach, I think I need a more targeted approach, to continue the firearm analogy. And so I have implemented it...Monty's new dating paradigm! It's been a couple of weeks in the making actually, and so far it's working fine! And I'm enjoying myself much more. What, you may wonder, is he doing differently? Well, I've decided to stop dating a bunch of new guys each week and instead, focus on the guys I've already met. AND as my wise friend EIB suggested, I am not dating-with-relationship as the goal, but rather it's more about making friends with the guys I have met. If a relationship is going to happen, it will happen in its own time (and most likely when I least expect it). No use trying to force it - I just need to relax and enjoy the company of these guys! And there are so many benefits to meeting up with guys I've already met...let me enumerate:

1. Much less of that awkward first-time-meet type conversation. You already have an idea about his likes/dislikes/interests - there's an existing basis for conversation.
2. I've already enjoyed the previous date, so there's reasonable odds that the next date (though I can't really call it a date, just the next time we're out) will be just as enjoyable, if not more so!
3. I've already checked him out and think he's not half bad in the looks department, so again, it's all good!
4. By his agreeing to meet up again, there's a reasonable chance that he likewise enjoyed my conversation, doesn't think I look like a troll and so is willing to get to know me a bit better.
5. The more times I meet up with a guy, the more chance of a shag! LOL (just kidding)

Naturally, Monty can't completely change his spots and so to keep things interesting, I'm allowing myself one new guy per week. So, whilst I haven't jumped off the Gaydar merry-go-round completely, I'm at least slowing it down to a more manageable pace. And I'm liking this!

Desperation...

It's interesting, I had this great chat with my mate Englishman in Budapest on Sunday night, as we generally do, and I was feeling a little down. I consider him one of my closest friends now - he gets all of the details of my life (both sordid and sacred) downloaded to him on a weekly basis - he's very level headed and gives me his perspective on things. He's helped me many times and he's also great for a laugh!

Anyway, the conversation progressed to a discussion about how desperation can be quite a turn-off. And this week, I experienced it first hand. Met up with this guy on Tuesday night after work for a drink in a pub in the city. He'd told me he was divorced from his wife and was the proud father of 3. OK, so there's bound to be a little baggage. But he seemed nice enough and so agreed to meet him.

We had a good time, had a couple of beers and a pleasant conversation. He kept telling me how good looking I was and how hot I was etc etc and I thought it was best I tried to keep him a bit grounded by telling him that I was seeing a couple of other guys later in the week (which I was). Just so that he knew he wasn't the only guy on my radar and to be honest and upfront with him as well. Whether this is a good idea or not, I don't know. But I'd prefer that to pretending he's the only one in my life! Hey, we met on Gaydar for crying out loud, it's practically expected.

Anyway, he was a bit put off by this. But I was glad, because I thought he was getting way too much into me, I'm sure he was planning for me to move in with him...just the way he was talking! So, we parted ways and I told him that I'd definitely talk to him again, see him etc. He is a really nice guy, don't get me wrong...he just was very enthusiastic about me.

Two text messages on the bus home. And then another one when I got home...the third one saying words to the effect that he didn't like the other guys I was seeing and hoped that I would pick him. I didn't reply.

Got a message later that night on Gaydar. Same sentiments. "Don't keep me waiting because I'm seeing other guys too and you might miss out" kind of stuff.

Got a text at 7am the next morning. I didn't reply. Got a text about 8:30am..."why haven't you replied to me?" I replied...it was a busy morning and the day was going to be insane! Another message at 1pm that day - "thinking of you, is that wrong?". And since then, at least a couple of texts each day! What is this???

On Tuesday night, I quite liked him, thought he was interesting, kinda cute and reasonably sane. With each text message, he just sounds more and more psychotic! He just seems so desperate to get into a relationship with me! or perhaps not me specifically, but anyone - I'm just the guy that showed up at the pub!

And I've now seen exactly what EIB was talking about on Sunday night! Desperation is VERY off-putting! And it's made me determined NOT to be like that in the future (not that I have ever been quite so intense)...I'm going to be calm, collected and chilled...even if I think I have met Mr Right! And I'm going to stop thinking I've met Mr Right until he becomes Mr Right - and that will take quite a few dates before that happens!

EIB comes to Monty's rescue once again!

Oh what a weekend...!

It's certainly been an eventful weekend - mainly due to the efforts of NSSG! The weekend was bookended by two QueerScreen movies - Friday night and Monday night. The Friday night movie was hilarious! And it was certainly an interesting experience, in a movie theatre packed to the rafters with gay men, all laughing so loudly that you couldn't actually hear parts of the movie! It was a great experience! And Max Brenner's afterward....mmmmmmmm chocolate!

The Monday night screening was a series of short films...some were great, some were CRAP - particularly the Australian entry! But again, an interesting experience.

Fair Day - there's been quite a lot said about Fair Day - it didn't really do it for me...and I was trying to think last night why it didn't do anything for me...and I think it's because I don't really feel part of the Sydney Gay community yet. Not sure I want to feel part of the Sydney Gay community either. For me, being gay is not my identity, it's not something that consumes my way of life...rather, for me, I'm a guy that likes other guys. That's what makes me gay. And so, something like Fair Day didn't really mean a lot to me. There's no doubt that my newly OUT status has something to do with it - but I do wonder whether that's going to change really.

The Bloggers' meet on Sunday night, however, was very good. It was great to see Gav again. It was fantastic to meet Muzbot! And certainly eye-opening to meet and talk to Aussielicious and Drew. And as NSSG has reported, it was bigger than Melbourne's meet, and that's all that really mattters! ha ha!

An interesting addendum to one of my previous blogs "A Disappointed Fan..." - after getting so excited finding Ian Roberts' Gaydar profile and then getting disappointed when he didn't respond to my message, who should walk into the Tilbury on Sunday night but Ian Roberts! With my body double in tow! Doh!

And one more thing to get excited about...I was talking to my good friend Carl in Budapest last night and mentioned that I was a blogger! It's an interesting thing really - as Gav mentioned at the Bloggers' meet, he doesn't tell his friends that he's a blogger. And up until now, I hadn't told Carl that I was a blogger, despite the fact that I tell him pretty much everything that happens in my life. I don't know why I hadn't told him - he is privy to much more information than ever goes on the blog. But it came up last night, and so I did end up telling him my blog address. I was very excited when I got a message from him this morning with his new blog address! I've linked it to my blog now! The bloggers' web continues to spread! I look forward to reading more from An Englishman in Budapest!

It's the last day of my holiday...

Well, it's finally arrived, the last day! Never expected it to come so quickly...but it has. This holiday has been completely different from what I expected...Big Time! But I have learned a lot about myself, I feel I have found a real and genuine friend in DG, and I have also had a great time.

Now back to Sydney, back to real life and making a start on a relationship!

I remember reading about how in the "old days", people used to write letters (really, that's what they did...can you believe it???) to each other. And many relationships began, or were maintained in that way. Could the same be said today with emails, MSN chat, sms texting etc. Well, perhaps not texting...you can't say enough usually with sms. But with emails and MSN chatting, could that be the same thing as letters of yesteryear?

I say this because I have been having an intense electronic relationship (I suppose you'd call it a relationship...not sure what else to call it) with a guy in Sydney. We have not met, in fact, his first message to me via Gaydar was on the last night I was in Sydney. But since that time, it's been pretty extensive. At first, I enjoyed the messages and emails and continued to reply. But it has gradually got more and more intense, as we discover mutual likes and dislikes and just simply more about each other. Particularly in the last week or two has it been getting that way. It's a very strange thing, becuase I have been having these relatively short term relationships in Germany and Czech, along with this developing electronic relationship at the same time. And as mentioned, there's the unrequitted thing with Carl in Budapest to add to the mix! I've certainly got around!

Now, as I mentioned in my last entry, time in Mykonos to think has allowed me to sort many things out. I've had a couple of long chats to Oscar (in Paris) and we've agreed that what we had was great, but it was a "holiday romance" type thing, and we will be friends and keep in contact. I am very happy about that, because he is a great guy! He's even talking about coming to Australia for a visit which would be fantastic!

Mike, he's been on holidays and travelling back to the US and so we haven't had much chance to chat...I just received an email tonight and he's back home, jetlagged. Again, I hope to talk to him soon and sort things out as per Oscar. I would love to remain friends with him ongoing.

And as for Carl...we have had some serious and lengthy (and quite expensive) discussions and again, sorted it all out. He is going to be another great friend of mine, someone with a very level head and a very caring nature.

And as for my electronic correspondent...well, we are going to meet up and see what happens. I am hoping the sparks will fly and we will be able to start dating. Who knows with this type of thing...sometimes the person on the page may not turn out to be exactly the person in the flesh...I don't know - it's a first for me. But from the long conversations we have had...I am feeling optomistic. I am trying to be realistic about it as well and not get my hopes too high! We'll see!

But, I have come out of this holiday with some fantastic new friends, loads more confidence in myself, and the ability to pick up guys in bars! ha ha! Hopefully, that skill will not be required going forward!

So I shall sign off now and next entry will be in Sydney...next challenge for Monty...coming out to my parents! The BIG one!

It's overcast and rainy in Mykonos...

Well, here I am, in Mykonos, the island of gay men (apparently) and I've seen more elderly American tourists and girls than I have gay men!!!

Well, what's this blog about? To be honest, I'm not sure...there's a thousand things going through my mind at the moment...

Unrequited love/lust. Is there such a thing as unrequited love? Or is it just lust, the desire for what we can't have? I met Carl online via Gaydar, and met him in person in Budapest where he lives. He's English, a teacher at a private English school in Bp. A total hottie, but for me, off limits. He told me his one big love of his life ended about 10 yrs ago and since then, he's pulled back from relationships! He's a very witty guy, very English, and a total gentleman...Doh! We got on very well, and I would love to get into a relationship with him, as he seems pretty much like Mr Right to me. Naturally, there's a couple of obstacles...1. He's already had the love of his life and has shut down from relationships. and 2. we live in different hemispheres and timezones! Unfortuantely, our relationshp at the moment is very platonic! Doh again!

Since leaving Bp, I have kept an ongoing sms conversation with him, and the more we speak, the more I like the guy!

But then, here I am in Mykonos, hoping to meet up with some sort of hot guy, for a shag or two, or three. So are my feelings for Carl real, or just unrequited lust? Sigh!
